It's good to hear this is still coming along! I'm semi local, I'd love to see it when it's done.

Hey guys

The long wait is almost over. We are waiting on some clips for the harness from Honda and after those the final wiring PNP harness will be finished and then off to Ktuner for software and start up.

Its been a long road but cant wait for this car to be on the streets shocking people.

Huge thanks to all those who have helped with the project and made it a reality

Huge shout out to Brian Gillespie and James Holy and Vtec academy

This is great news, may have to start shopping for a motor soon. On the other hand, are you guys still working on the K swap kit? Wondering what the difference would be on cost. Either way, thank you for not giving up on the Fit community.

K swap kit will be out around the same time, probably a little less money than the L15b7 swap due to needing custom intercooler piping and other items, but to get the power like the L15b7 you will need to turbo the K24z7 as its limited all motor to 210whp

LOL 210 still seems like plenty in a Fit! I am really looking forward to seeing how both kits shake out, and finding out more details. I have sooo many questions, but I figure most will be answered soon.

Will there be a CVT possibility?

I really hope so, and if it's not supported I think that's a missed opportunity. My wife drives a CR-V with the b7 and it is a really good combo with the CVT. I giggle a bit thinking of that drivetrain in a car that weighs half a ton less. This is a niche swap, hopefully the people involved won't be making it even more marginal by limiting the drivetrain options.

It seems like such an obvious thing to do. But one thing always leads to another. Brakes? Suspension? What else will you change on your car?

And the rear suspension seems to me rather limited for road course usage. When I was instructing and people claimed that they could keep up with me in the Mustangs and P71 Vickies, I'd go through the carousel and make sure I bumped over a particular gater.

The rears of the Mustangs and Victorias would bounce about three feet to the left, and there was always somebody who'd spin out. (It's not as unsafe as it sounds. There wouldn't be many cars on the track, and these were potential troopers who needed to learn about vehicle potential.)

I have only had my GK5 commuter for a month, but from what I can feel of the rear suspension, I don't think there's a lot you could do with it to make it into a real race car.

I apologize if I'm missing something obvious. I'm new to this Fit world. :-)

George Knighton,

These are good points that you raise. Some thoughts on suspension and brakes that I have been pondering myself is swapping over the rear crossmember and front steering knuckles from a Honda HR-V. This would allow some serious brake potential from either a Civic SI or even a type R since the HR-V has four wheel disc.

They also have a 5x114 bolt pattern which opens up a ton of easy wheel options.

Maybe we are on to some cool economy swap builds for the GK5...

Curious if others have any thoughts on this.

Jacob

We need an update PLEASE. L15b7 are readily available for the low and i'd love to swap one in. Turns out KTuner doesn't support forced induction so i'm left with very few options for real power upgrades.

Two weeks ago, when I messaged @axion_industries on Facebook asking for an update, they replied with "Still working on it, should release results when the wiring is finished." I wish they would give us a time frame, or at least give us the hardware components (mounts, axles, shift linkage, etc.) so that we at least know what we're working with, and so that maybe someone else can figure out the wiring.

I just wanna stick a K-Series in a GK5!

Wiring is a lot more work to get this thing running with no codes, its happening. Hasport have been finishing up the other Fit and ours was next up. The swap items will be for sale when its all finished and running perfect, these things take time its not like swapping an EG civic

Cool, just wanna ask for a k20 swap. It involves notching the frame rails? L15b7 just drops in and fits.

There is no cutting for either swap on the Gk5, tons of room
