Because this is where we heard about it. This seems to be a trend on forums. someone announces a great product, and members start ordering. My son's black antenna has been shipped.

I would agree with SilverEX - color matching is a big plus for me. Also be careful when looking at antennas - most of the really cheap ones are strictly decoration only (those in the $10-$20 range)... so they don't actually act as an antenna...

This seems hard to believe. It's a shark fin antenna from China that says it will "Enhance the signal." It uses 3M adhesive, is OEM for Nissan, and has a working life of 3,000,000 hours. That over 342 years. The price is only $14.98, with free shipping from China.

I think I'll pass on this one.

The description on that one doesn't really make sense. In one place it says that it "enhances signal" and elsewhere it says that it is for "decoration purposes only". I don't know how those two statements are compatible.

For $14.98, I wouldn't expect much more than a different appearance. They do say, "... it can enhance the signal and achieve the purpose of decoration..." Considering this was written in China, I think they mean that it is an antenna that will also make the car look better. I wonder how they do with color matching.
