Roof Rack?
#141
I wondered how much Yakima's and Thule's lawyer teams deny the ability to rack the car, if their tests or given vehicle specs are below a certain threshold. But if Honda Australia has the option for a clip rack, then clearly Honda has endorsed that accessory.

Cold Air Intake vs Ambient Air temps and 60-80mph Acceleration
I made a little video to show folks that you can make yourself a cold air intake that takes in the same air temperature as the outside ambient air temperature. There was some talk in some previous threads where some people may have thought this was impossible. It isn't! I was very close with a previous intake (Intake temps stayed 3-5 degrees above ambient) but decieded to make another version to see if I could get the exact same temperature. It seems to work. While I was at it, I decided to test the 60-80mph acceleration.
This was done on a 2015 Honda Fit LX CVT.

I don't recommend making a ghetto intake like I did. I just do this stuff to test out ideas and trying different stuff on my cars. Feel free to modify away. Just wanted to share.

I quickly heard back from both Inno and RackAttack.
RackAttack didn't comment on Inno's rack, but again recommended their track system because it has the: "highest weight capacity and the cleanest look. Your weight capacity is 165 with a permanent track system install."
Inno did not really answer my question, either (why they have a clip rack when Thule and Yakima say the roof is not strong enough for one). They said: "INNO is not popular in the US but we are genuine supplier of Toyota, Mazda, Lexus, Subaru and Daihatsu in Japan and China.
We developed new fit hook for Honda Fit K441. Maximum weight capacity is 120 lbs, include rack, that decided by rough road and static test.
You can load 100 lbs. but please note below."
Note that they didn't say they are suppliers to Honda in Japan and China so maybe the AU/Japanese one being discussed is made by someone else? I'm leaning toward the more expensive (but perhaps more secure) track install, but would like to hear what others have done.

I have no idea how my thread ended up here and connected/merged to this thread. It says it was moved from the General forum and somehow connected to this thread. I'll repost it again. Sorry for this strange....er....I don't know what happened.

INNO rack on 2015 from Auto anything
came complete with everything needed, including install guide.
It's on and fits like a charm. I lay my kayak flat, no Jbar, though I'm leaning to the JBar's as I add my gear.

in my case I cut the cross bars down because I hated the look of the bars sticking out
also with out the fairing its noisy ,faring on the way!!

I looked at the cost between the standard bars with a fairing and aerobars and it's pretty close. I do like being able to use wide crossbars when something needs to be tied down. I like the extra leverage. Aerobars do look fancy, but I wonder if a fairing has better drag characteristics than aerobars.

Inno
I ordered my Inno rack Yesterday right from the warehouse in California. I paid for the 2 day shipping as I am heading out of town with my new Yellow "15. I'll keep this thread posted with the fit of the rack and how it goes with a cargo box on a 1550mi run.

I believe the noise for the most part is the air going between the sunvisor and the rails,,,,wife likes the look of the inno air deflector so what she wants she gets, lol
