Best spot for HID ballast placement

I was going to retrofit today, but then DDM sent me the wrong relay harness, (ordered one on Amazon so I'll be here within next couple days) . So, I just put on 3k fogs for right now.

Taking off the bumper was really easy. 4 phillips screws, 6 clips underneath, and 4 or 5 clips on attached to grille.

Cleaned area with degreaser and put some double sided 3M adhesive tape on ballasts.

I didn't want to deal with zip ties so I ran the relay harness through the beam.

This is a really good spot for the ground and the relay box. (When I do the retrofit, I'm going to put another relay harness in the same spot)

I ran the positive wire underneath the driver headlight, there's quite a bit of room, and you can get to it real easily. Plus, the fuse can be reached like a charm

Oh, I apologize for the dirty engine bay...

For a second I thought these pictures where taken inside your house, I was very confused. That is one fancy ass rug to just be having your car park on top of. Oh Yea and the lights look good, that is a hell of a lot cleaner install then I ever do for that kind of stuff.

Haha, I gotta keep things clean...bought this car brand new there's no way I'm treating it like a clunker.

That's funny, I also was wondering if he pulled off the front of the car and brought it in his living room or just drove right into it.

Lights look great! I've been set on getting yellow fogs on mine so this is super helpful to see!

How has your car been running with them? I know some people where having trouble with the ddm balasts. Where did you ground them?

Car runs fine...there's actually multiple places where you can get good ground. On the front beam you can attach it there. I attached mine underneath the driver headlight and you can see how I put the ground and relay box together. Look closely at the image below and you'll see two bolts. Thats another spot.

DDM....so you're having problems with ground based on your previous thread? Solution, look closely underneath the headlight in the picture. You can put it there or you see the bolt attached to the front beam. You can stick it there (obviously, don't remove the whole bolt)
