Now you just need to remove the chrome license plate frame and go with black to match. I'm partial to the light weight carbon fiber ones.

I'm not opposed to chrome, but that black piece looks so good!

Maybe, take it off and wrap it with black or carbon fiber and reinstall?

Actually looking at autodip / plastidip as an option. I think i want a glossy finish, so we will see. Bonus is that I could probably do it in place... although i have never used either before

I just did this swap using your excellent instructions stembridge, thank you! Those clips were a pain for me to swap but the project overall was easy, maybe 45 minutes tops taking my time and cleaning all the gunk that had built up under my factory chrome trim.

Since this is fresh in my mind I can clarify which clips need to be swapped, although it is obvious if you compare them side by side. The 4 green clips below are the ones that needed to be changed out from the LX black garnish piece. There are no green clips on the chrome garnish trim from the factory, just the white ones you see in the picture and then much thinner black ones which needed to go on the black LX: garnish in place of these green ones. It's the 2 inner clips and 2 outer clips.

Rear Garnish

Hi all,

My co-worker broke my rear garnish and I've been on the lookout for a new one. I have a 2018 Jazz LX. I've seen a lot of y'all are replacing your garnish, and if anyone has a spare I'd like to buy it. I live in Ireland, but have family in Texas so can do shipping within United States or Europe.

Looking for cheap price Rear garnish for Honda fit 2015

A diagram of the parts involved can be viewed here.

First, you'll need to remove the rear wiper. The plastic cover pops off easily and then use a socket to remove the nut holding the wiper arm on. It should come off easily.

Next, remove two bolts, one at each side - these are accessible with the hatch open (you don't have to remove the interior trim panel).

Those bolts screw into the outer portion of the garnish piece – be careful to not overtighten when installing.

Finally, with the bolts out, the garnish piece is held in with plastic clips. Gently pry (with something that won't scratch your paint) and the panel should pop right out.

Take a close look at the clips - if I remember right, two of them are slightly different between the EX and LX trim. I swapped those out before installing my LX garnish piece.

To install, just position the new garnish in place, making sure the plastic clips are lined up with their holes, and press gently to seat them all. Install your two bolts at the outer edges (again, don't overtighten), and reinstall your wiper.

You're done!
