Blanks on Dashboard - 2019

Have any of you removed either of the 1" x 1/2" blanks to the left of the steering column on a 2019 Fit? I want to put the switch for heated seats in one of those spots, but the blank isn't popping off easily, and I don't want to scratch the dash. I removed all three of mine on my 2015, and I don't recall it being a problem. I don't think I'll be able to get behind it and push it out.

If the '19 is the same as my '16, you can also try to reach underneath and push it out.

Or there is a side cover to the left that you can remove after you've removed part of the rubber trim. There is a screw there that you can remove. Then you can pull out the dash a bit to get at stuff.

Thanks! Yeah, I forgot about that side panel. I'd like to get the switch in place because working on that won't interfere with driving the car. When I remove the seat, driving it will be a challenge. : )

EDIT: I think I'll save myself some unnecessary work and drill through that bank while it's attached to the dash. The switch is small and round, and I think it will fit right inside that blank. If it doesn't, I'll pop the blank out and use a different switch.

I know it might be a little late, but the blank isn't completely open on the back. I had to dremel out the back a little in order to fit a small button momentary switch.

The blank was a bit hard to pry out from the front, but if you wiggle in a trim removal tool on the top and bottom, it'll eventually pop out.

Thanks. I think I'll remove it with a plastic tool. From what I remember, removing them on my 2015 wasn't difficult..
