I assume this is going to be relatively similar to the 2nd gen. You can search for threads there. It will roll up into a tube.

But, if you're driving often, and putting it up and down often, you're not going to go through the hassle to roll it up each time. So you'd just fold it in half and toss it in passenger seat well, or in the back in arm's reach, rather then rolling it up.

If it's longer term storage you're looking for, once you do roll it up, one place you could stow it is under the rear seats behind the fold out metal leg.

It stores like a long rolled up length of material 6" round. It does not fold up and store in a glove box the Velcro strap keeping the shade rolled up is helpful. 18-20k for a FIT...$40.00 for a sunshade, yeah why not

That is cheap.

I have this sunshade and I am impressed with how well it works.

First sunshade...

Serious question: do folks use a sunshade all year long? Or just in the warmer months?

Just like my window tint I use it all year long...the sun can do damage to plastic and leather interiors from long term exposure. UV rays don't change with the temp. Added benefit, It also keeps prying eyes from peering into your front w/s.

FWIW..

Heat Shield

They make a good product. Had one for 10 years in my scion XB. It was still in great shape, went with the car when I traded in on the Fit
