Open Hatch From Inside

Does anyone know of a way to open the rear hatch from inside the car, instead of using the handle on the outside of the hatch?

Open hatch from inside Fit

On my ‘13. It is pretty straight-forward.
there is a plastic panel about 3”x 3” you pop off with screw driver
there is a plastic lever that opens hatch

I guess you could rig up a line from that plastic lever to the front drivers seat to open the hatch - a sort of Rube Goldberg device.
