Windshield Needed
Windshield Needed
I own a 2015 Honda Fit with a cracked windshield.....
I assume 2015-2019 will be the same....any chance earlier generation Fits have the same windshield?
I was going to look for one in a salvage yard unless someone has a good source for a new one at a good price.
thanks in advance

Never go with junkyard glass. And windshields are not expensive new. Especially when your insurance company helps with the pricing. My insurance company offers $200 off coupons that go to new glass. Just contact your insurance company and a local glass shop. Easy as that. And no. Previous gen Fit windshields will not interchange.
In 2018 they changed the windshield to make it more noise resistant. Part of a number of small improvements they made that year in a mid term refresh of the Fit. No idea what that meant as far as the windshield goes other than that year forward would probably be more expensive.

The newer windshields are thicker and way, way more $$$$. When I replaced my '16, every aftermarket company had only the first variation, not the thicker one. I replaced with aftermarket and it's fine even in -40C winter. I was tempted to buy the updated version. $1100+ CDN only from the dealer.
