Key fob will not remote lock/ unlock car, will start it
I have a 2016 Fit. My car battery died a few weeks ago, and ever since I replaced it I have been having an issue. My key fob will not remotely lock or unlock my car, but it will still allow me to unlock the car when I pull on the driver/ passenger handle as well as let me start the car without having to put the fob up to the starter. I have replaced the battery on the fob, and it did not change anything/ fix the problem. Also, the low battery light on the fob was not indicating that the battery is low. I tried to re-sync the key by pressing the lock button and turning off and on the car a few times (as described in a few other articles, though I think they were not intended for keyless entry cars anyway), but that did not work either.
Since I have replaced the car battery (and this problem started) the yellow "check starter system" light has been intermittently turning on and off. I can't seem to find a pattern of when the light is on or off, but clearly, the car sometimes thinks there is a starter system problem.
I don't think it is a fuse problem, since it started when I changed the car battery, so I imagine it is related to that.
This is my first time posting to this forum, but it's been. a huge help in the past! Any advice is appreciated!

Welcome. If you're getting a "check starter" dash light, that means the computer is generating an OBD-II code related to the error.
I think the first order of business is getting that code read, and going from there. Many auto parts stores will read your codes for free if you don't have access to a reader.
Really hard to speculate what it could be at this point, hence the importance of the code, even if it's a fairly nonspecific one.
