Wanting a Performance exhaust but not too loud
Wanting a Performance exhaust but not too loud
Has anyone got one for CVT? And how does it sound? I’ve been looking into HKS Silent Hi-Power and wonder if anyone here has got that same exact one. I’m not getting the whole entire exhaust set up, just the axle back. I wouldn’t want it too annoyingly loud where you can wake up the whole neighborhood lol but just enough to make the ride more fun.
Yes. I have a 2019 base model CVT. I purchased the HKS silent hi-power muffler only. Not the B-pipe.
The muffler sounds really nice. It's not insanely loud. When you are cruising speeds it doesn't make any sound at all, only when you accelerate.
If you are putting that muffler onto a USDM Fit you will need a larger rubber isolator to replace one of the stock ones. This is to prevent the muffler from tapping and vibrating on the bumper which is super annoying.
Rubber isolator of the correct size:

Went this... Good performance low sound route and finished of doing this:
RV6 downpipe/collector/header (which one you want to call it🤗
2¼ midpipe with 2008 CiViC Si OEM resonator
2013 CiViC Si OEM rear muffler/axle back etc etc etc
It didn't restricted the overall exhaust flow or performance and toned down considerably, even making the small 1.5L sound likeish a CiViC....
Also, no drone sound inside the cabin!!
Before anyone try and ransack my decision.... Here in Puerto Rico, popos aren't fond of even looking at an aftermarket exhaust parked on a mall, that's why i went to try the all OEM exhaust.... From a larger engine obviously thinking it wouldn't affect performance and apparently it didn't.... So far 💯 liking it...
