Replacement Apple CarPlay USB port?
The Apple CarPlay USB port on my Fit seems to be going bad. Had an adapter plugged into it for a wireless option. The adapter is a very short cable permanently connected to a small transmitter box, so it dangles over those 2 center cupholders. Recently I've had connection issues to said wireless option, so I figured that was the issue. Ordered a new wireless CarPlay dongle before I tried other options, like an idiot. After placing the order, I tried a cable right from the iPhone to the USB port, but turns out it doesn't always work and when it does, if the cable is touched/adjusted, connection gets lost. I have tried a few cables, including official Apple ones. No luck. Have not looked into how the USB port connects to the stereo unit, but I am really hoping it can be unplugged for a new one and not hard wired into the stereo. I've been out of luck trying to find a replacement part so far, but the search continues.
Has this happened to anyone else? Suggestions?

I see what I think is the part you need in the diagrams (Interior / Bumper > Instrument Panel Garnish (Passenger Side)), but its reference number isn't in the parts listing. The USB socket in the arm rest (which you could probably use for your wireless adapter without issue) has the same problem. The closest listed part by the cup holder is 39115-T5R-A51 "Hoder Assy., Usb", but I suspect that's the bracket that the actual connector part snaps into, along with the flip-up lid - no electrical connector insert. I believe 39116-T5A-G01 "Sub-Wire, Usb (Instrument)" is the cable from the socket back to the infotainment unit... It *might* include the part you need. You could ask your nearest dealer to order both of those, then keep whichever one has the actual USB socket. If neither includes the socket, give them an earful for not selling an easily broken part.
39116-T5A-G01 "Sub-Wire, Usb (Instrument)" is the USB going to the center console. Won't work because the sockets on the back of the audio unit are shaped slightly different for both plugs.
Part number for a 2018 Fit USB cord is 39113-T5R-A12 CORD ASSY., USB (CONNECTOR:GRAY/BLACK)

Edit: I see the point of confusion now. The diagram for the "(Instrument)" version shows the cable out of place with what appears to be a length measurement over 2 meters. Seems that somebody paired the part description with the wrong diagram. Conflicting technical information is SOOOO helpful.

Sounds like 39113-T5R-A12 is what I need then?
I wish this had a picture of it:

Happens to be on sale as well.

From the looks of it, it adapts whatever automotive-grade-positively-latching-but-not-technically-a-USB-connector Honda is using to a standard USB-A socket. That makes a lot of sense to me, as it gives the wiring harness cable an easily (cheaply) replaceable end, for exactly the scenario we're dealing with here. It should be two connectors (one of which can be purchased for pennies) in a housing (which likely includes the other connector's shell) that snaps into the holder/lid component. $10 would be exorbitant. Every time I look at Honda parts prices, it makes me think they're a "problem" company.
Actually:
That looks a LOT like it could fit the end of the cable you posted. What was inside your holder/flippy-lid part?
