Wheel hopping
Wheel hopping
My GK5 appears to be pretty prone to wheel hopping and powerpack shaking when spinning the wheels during acceleration on pavement. It's been like that since new, so it's a feature. I wonder if it's more about soft engine mounts or soft suspension bushings, and if there are any recommendable update solutions to have better damping of the big shaking but not to increase road and engine vibration in normal use.

Changing the torque arm mount (also known as a dogbone mount due to shape) helps with this.
HaSport makes one that is cross compatible with the GE, GK, & ZF (CR-Z) in a multitude of durometers. Powerflex if I recall correctly makes an insert that slots into the opening within the rubber bushing as a cheaper alternative.
I personally have a 2016 CR-Z and run HaSport's 62A dogbone which is their softest mount but also slightly stiffer than stock. Traction hop is gone during spirited launches at autocross events and no abnormal noises, harshness, or vibrations once the mount finally settles and breaks in. There may be a bit of a chatter the first week or two if you daily the car due to the metal end caps... but hang in there. The mount will settle out with time. This of course can be used in tandem with the other factory mounts.

I installed PowerFlex PFF25-420 (Yellow/Street) in my 2019 Fit EX Manual, and love it. I don't know why, but the CVT and MT get different part numbers.
It added hardly any NVH at all, yet greatly reduced drivetrain wobble. I think I'd have been fine with Black Series, but it's not worth spending more money to swap it at this point.
I am using PRL rear mount on my 2024 Civic, and it's quite a bit harder. But, I love how it lets me feel the rumble at low RPM. I don't feel any difference at highway speeds. Note, stock rear torque arm wasn't even that bad in the Civic. The stock one in the Fit was awful.

Maybe use a lighter foot and don't spin the wheels on pavement?
