2014 Civic Tourer

Just for interest, Honda is bringing the Civic Tourer to Europe and South Africa, not sure if it's coming to USA or Canada

That would never come to USA, it might steal $35K Odyssey sales.

I love it. If it came here, it would be in my driveway on day 1. I wouldn't be here discussing gains and losses of inches and cubic feet on the new Fit, since that has nearly double the rear cargo space.

I wish this was available here, I would have bought one for sure

Have you seen the BTCC racing version?

I agree.

Honda needs to be careful, though. It's that same mindset that killed GM/Ford/Chrysler in the 80s. ("We can't sell a small, reliable car. It'll kill sales of our Oldsmobile Cutlass 88 Supreme.")

Get KIA tossing in a car that scratches this itch, and Honda could be in deep, deep trouble.

Yeouch, not sure about that racing version, but I would have seriously considered a Civic Tourer over Focus ST, because Honda + big utility.

How about a Focus ST wagon, then? I'd take one of those as well.

Enter Forte Wagon:

I agree: Honda is making business decisions that are preserving status quo and making their brand less exciting with each new release....

I find myself getting more excited off these korean and american releases these days....may have to start scrapping off your JDM decals...

If I had the $, I'd have a Tesla in the driveway.....I'm about done with how automakers innovate (let's add a CVT or 15 more gears to the AT, some BT and throw in a seamless app)

That's ok, Honda remains asleep at the wheel.. They are narrowly ahead of Hyndai in total sales in Canada and the Elantra line is virtually tied with Civic for the best selling car in Canada; Elantra offers a 2 door, 4 door and 5 door variants.. This 5 door Civic would be a no brainer to complete with Hyundai.

For my needs the Fit is on the small side and would prefer a Civic sized 5 door vehicle. So while I wait to see the Fit in person, I have wandered into a Subaru dealership and I'm now considering the 5 door Impreza.
