Civic Lx $16999, Acord Lx $19999

My dealer just sent me an email - 2014 Civic LX Cvt $16,999 or the 2014 Accord LX Cvt $19,999...Should I wait for the 2015 Fit?

The Fit will probably cost more than a Civic, when they finally are released!

If you need a car now I'd definitely go for the 2014 Civic LX CVT. For $16,999 that's one helluva price and you get great value with the Civic, too. For me, the Accord is way too big. If you really need a car that size then the Accord is the one to buy. Unless you get the '15 Fit LX then you'll definitely be paying more than for a Civic LX. Best of luck with whatever direction you go in.

For the Accord I wouldn't go below the Sport trim. Nice 18 in wheels, dual exhaust, power drivers seat, leather steering wheel, other niceties.

Whatever you decide: Fit, Civic, Accord, it will be the "right" choice. They're all HONDAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First year redesign Fit vs. year or two old Civic / Accord? Might be more issues for the '15 Fit as it gets a beta test in public. They're all different...but I'd be looking at the Accord if I didn't want the Fit.

Just personal preference. The Civic redesign in '06 was great but they've gotten rather lackluster in the next gen, whereas the late model Accords seem better engineered. This from a previous Civic owner ('96 HX). Loved that car but don't see the present Civics in the same light.
