What's your ideal 3rd generation Fit?
What would you like to see added to make the Fit be your perfect car? For me, it would be a blue EX with a leather wrapped steering wheel, a taller armrest, Apple's Carplay built in, a slightly stiffer suspension, and way lower RPMs for the 6th gear on the manual. Most of the things listed are small, but right now the only thing holding me back is the lack of Carplay. I'm worried they may add it in 2016, so I may hold off just to see if they add it.
It would have to be an EX (hate leather seats) with navigation, sunroof, 6spd manual with lower gearing, some sort of aero kit to bring cd below .30. 2 cup holders next to ac vents (I have 2 aftermarket ones on my gd to cool my water bottles).
Always torn between performance and efficiency so I could also take the above plus the following for the sake of performance:
k20/24 with 205/17 wheels/tires.
Firmer suspension
Deeper bucket seats

170 hp hybrid. Si since they won't correct the CRZ.
I would like Honda link to allow third party apps to be installed such as Google Maps and/or Waze. Not restrict & force us to use Honda Nav app. After all, we own the car, we should have the choice which nav we want in our car.

And as long as I'm on a roll with complaining, throw out the whole ass end: rear discs, and do something about the stupid taillights and hideous chrome strip on the back.
None of it is a dealbreaker, except if I were to buy a 2015 and then in 2016 they introduced Android support and the 2015 could not be updated, I would have to burn something down.
edit: in-glass antenna too.

originally i thought about getting a yellow lx but i think i will go with white instead so i have more wheel color options. ideal lx would have the following changes to it that i can think of atm.
remove rear camera and lcd screen. ditch bluetooth and any sort of ugly buttons from the interior. hydraulic steering. projector hid headlights. overdrive in the manual. limited slip dif. remove eco glowing crap on the dash. better looking engine bay (less cheap plastic looking).
my not realistic change would be for it to come in a slightly shorter 3 door variant.
everything else i'd want would be aftermarket things later on.

Well, you shouldn't have to worry about that. According to Edmunds, Honda has mentioned that Android compatibility would come to Hondalink by the end of the year, so 2015 models should be compatible. I'm worried that if I buy a 2015, the 2016 will have CarPlay and the 2015 won't be able to be upgraded for it.
LX 6MT with...
- Android Auto
- Leather seats
- Moonroof
- Fix the armrest situation
- Less buttons everywhere. Would be nice to have standard window controls on the doors, volume and climate dials in the center console, and everything else integrated into an 8" display. (Yes I'm a minimalist. I think the Tesla gets it right in this department).
- Shaped like BMW 320i
Really this car already gets so much right, though. Without going overboard, I'd just settle for leather seats and a moonroof in the LX. But of course they specifically don't offer that, because they don't want the cheap trim cannibalizing the rest of the lineup. I'm guessing it's the moonroof selling the EX trim, and the leather interior selling the EX-L. But it's really messed up for those of us who want manual transmission and leather seats, because I'd happily go for the EX-L if I could choose manual transmission, or I'd gladly pay a hefty price for leather seats as an option on the EX trim.

Wish it were offered in a $13,000 "hose it out clean" model, keeping the drivetrain that is already common to all 2015 models but stripping out every bell and whistle leaving only a functioning set of necessary gauges. Drop the AC and the stereo, give me a spartan vehicle with the most amazingly efficient direct injection 1.5L already standard in all 2015 FIT models.
Now that would be pure fun and remind me when I was twenty (thirty years ago).
