Some like a moon roof and some don't. For the folks that don't, like me, then a moon roof would be an extra expense. Or taller folks that want more head space the moon roof will cut into that.
Question: does the moon roof when closed, contributed in anyway to the noise of the ride?

I've had two EX Civics with moonroofs...always wondered.

The reason that I picked the LX is because it's all I needed. Coming from a 97 Civic hatchback with sunroof
How many miles did you have on your Civic? My son traded his '97 Civic with 305,424 miles for a 2015 Fit. He would have kept it, but the auto trans was slipping. The dealer gave him $500 for it.

I had a 97 Civic HX coupe manual with 220K miles. I sold it for $2K 2yrs ago after my first son was born. Wife got a RAV4 with 3rd row and I took her 97 hatch. Then my second son came and my 97 Civic hatchback got totaled. It has 198K miles on it. Now my 2015 Fit aka mini mini van, I guess we will see if it will break the record.

Your son's Civic is amazing. $305K is awesome. It's amazing how those old Honda were make. You can't break them. Both of my 97 Civic, had never had any issue. The HX, I just put in gas and change oil and it runs. Of course I do all the regular maintenance, but other than that, no issue. I wish the Fit is build the same way. I guess time will tell.

I bought my 8g LX-P Accord without looking up lot of information. I was disappointed after coming across similar kind of thread for Accord where Honda made lot of changes for EX model (different engine, lot of extra suspension components, interior trim material updates, bigger alloy wheels and breaks, sun roof, audio, noise cancelling etc.,).

I am trying to educate myself before requesting quotes from dealer.
Thanks
I don't think its worth 1800 more.
Moon roof: 100 (I think they should call it a skylight)
increased cost of alloy rims over steel rims: 200
Increased cost of touch screen over button screen: $50
2 tweeters: 30
Cheap camera on right side mirror (it is not even 720p much less 1080p): $40
extra wire for camera if its not already there? $15
HDMI connector: $8
Fog lights:$40
Switch for fog lights $15

I can't think of anything else offhand. EX should be about $498 more.

As far as the decreased fuel mileage goes: no-one seems to know why the EX is rated lower. It weighs about 40 pounds more. It has the same engine. I doubt the smooth skylight significantly changes the aerodynamics. The lighter wheels and tires should increase gas mileage. Also, actual field reports from owners show they are getting about the same mpg. So I have no idea what's up with that.

The question is over two years old, so a response is worthless.

Bwahaha, it's Sunday so forum traffic is light.

One thing I really like in the EX is the dynamic guide lines when reversing. It's a cool feature I wasn't expecting to like so much.

Oh and don't forget about the included floor mats, that's worth at least $1k... Lol

Pretty sure those numbers are pulled straight out of your backside.

Haha. I thought that was pretty obvious. I was saying what I thought they were worth, not what I would actually have to end up paying if I really wanted them.

Understood. I was implying the value of your list as well as replying to a thread 2.5 years old.

So is it worth it is a question only you can answer for your own needs and preferences!
I did my deal in a real stressed out state and a huge hurry. Anyhow, if I had known about all the goodies in the EX, I would have thought the $1600 or $1800 was fair. I really wish I would have known. I would have loved that side view camera. Now, does anyone know if it's possible to retro fit the FIT to the Side View camera?

I don't even know if it's possible for one thing. Also, it may simply be just too expensive to be worth it. If anyone knows, I think I'm set up to email me. I think. I've only been a member for about 15 minutes.
