Protective Film

Have any of you used protective film on parts of your Fit? There are several on Amazon, and I ordered two. I also ordered some carbon fiber-like stick-ons for the areas behind the door handles. You know, that area that's attacked by fingernails every time someone opens a door.

I'll let you know how they work out.

I have

Yes, I'm a total N00b when it comes to tint/protective film applications so I just did a 12" wide strip across the front of the hood. I was 90% done in like 15 minutes but then the last 10% took a good hour getting the film wrapped around corners, air bubbles out, and then a day later I went back and cut the excess film. It's now been a full week and you can hardly tell its even there.

This is what I went with. I still have about a 8"x12" of excess but I'm sure I'll find a use for it.

That one that I ordered. I forget what the other one was. I used a similar product on the bumper of a car, and it was still there 15 years later when I got rid of it.

Thanks for the pictures. We had been waiting for a blue Fit since April. My son settled for a black one, and I got a silver.

Hmmm... interesting! Do you think that would protect it from cat claw scratches? My kitties enjoying jumping on the car and sleeping on the warm hood.

I made a car-cozy out of rugs, but perhaps this would work better.
