Yeah, the bumper is an update...the A-pillar is a safety recall. At least Honda doesn't wait 10 years like GM does. They get things moving.

Lol, 10-4 on GM! I had one of their turdmobiles.
I got my update notice today and promptly called the dealer and they are ordering the part for me to install. Love the way I am being treated by Honda......GM not so much.

Took 6 weeks to get the ignition recall done on my Solstice. I got a loaner, a 2114 Impala, and IT died when the ignition flipped to off! Then the passenger airbag sensor...48% failure rate on those, and GM refuses to do anything. $800 water pumps that last an average of 30,000 miles. Endless small parts breaking, some only a dealer could get into the trunk when they broke (Put the car on a hoist, remove the left rear tire and the wheel well liner to open the trunk)....25 warranty visits in 2 years...enough was enough. NEVER AGAIN! There are no engineers at GM. Only children playing with Lego's.

Just called Honda and they say no bumper upgrade for my vin 125xx. They did have the a-pillar recall though, and my a-pillar has the side airbag emblem. That seems like the correct piece of trim, anyone know? I'll drop by a dealer anyways to check, but I rememeber reading here that the emblem was on the correct pillar trim

I was told if it had the airbag emblem, all is OK. BUT...they want a dealer to verify it

I heard the same thing, if it had the imprint it is good to go.
