Turbulence driving behind 18wheelers?
Turbulence driving behind 18wheelers?
Does anyone else get really bad turbulence driving behind 18 wheelers? My car will move with the wind of course and its normal for the light weight of the car. But whenever I get behind a big rig boy does my car shake bake and forth from what I assume to be turbulence from the air being made by the big rig. Anyone else experience this?
Boy, that is good advice. My daughters first paint chip happened while near a big truck on a section of interstate that had just been ground down for repaving. You could hear the small rocks hitting the car and windshield. It was difficult to get away from, since we had trucks in front of us and behind as well.
How to solve the turbulence problem in 5 easy steps
1. Follow 18 wheeler closly
2. Truck stops suddenly
3. Hit truck from rear and underride the trailer
4. Front seat passengers die
5. turbulence problem solved

i dunno after riding motorcycles for many years I just seem to notice the buffeting more when I'm in a car. Obviously it's not to the same magnitude but if you're really looking for it you can feel it acting against the car. i think most people are just oblivious to it happening.
