Door Edge Trim recommendation?

With the pro of having doors that open at almost 90 degree angles, some of us might have issues dinging cars close by. Was wondering if anyone had recommendations for door edge trim for all four doors. There seems to be many types online. If anyone has one that works well, please let me know.

I got the stuff sized for the Fit (it is 3M also) from Bernardi and it has been 4.5 years-- no problems

Avoid Honda's Door Edge Trim

I bought the Honda factory door edge trim and am pretty disappointed with the fit and coverage. It is rigid (formed to the contours of the door edge) and doesn't cover the entire door edge. Will try to post pics later.

The rear doors (with trim) now rub the body and I'm going to have to remove before causing too much damage. I'm pissed as I followed Honda's instructions exactly. Not enough clearance between the door edge and body ... In my opinion NOT worth it $$!!!

The door edge FILM is an inexpensive option: you won't run into any clearance issues. I am going to shop for an aftermarket edge trim ... something less hard and preferably rubberized.

Good luck, don't forget to post your choice with pics!

I just bought a clear door edge molding you can pick up at Walmart. You get more than enough to cover all four doors with about 2 feet of molding on each door. It costs about $8 if I remember correctly... It is a little bit bulky but definitely does the job of protecting the doors.

most automotive store sells edge trim or edge guard. it's U shape channel plastic stripe
cut to length.
it's not best thing but it'll do the job
