Size: 63.5 KBI just got my new Fit and am super happy with it! Except that on my drive home fromt he dealer (50miles) the airbag sensor snever shut off. Anyone else experience this? I wonder if it could have anything to do with the Honda auto Start system they installed. Also there is a lot of wind noise coing fromthe drivers door when i hit speeds above 65, is this normal and will it go away after i drive it around a while? Any suggestions of comments would be appreciated. Im contacting the dealer about the SRS light this morning but dont know if i should mention the wind noise too.

Any kind of issues or concerns I would talk to the dealer about it. The wind noise shouldn't be too loud unless there is a loose seal somewhere.

Congratz!!

For the airbag light can easily be reset by your dealer. You can actually do it yourself using a sequence and the ignition.

Wind noise is normal at highway speeds. Its noticeable cause it comes from the doors, boot, hatch. It was very noticeable on my LX but after my sound-deadening mod, its virtually gone.
That said, the added weight will certainly affect my MPG. I expect losing 2mpg.

Here's one of the ones that I really took interest too and followed the majority in my application. It works!!!

Link: Welcome to Sound Deadener Showdown | Sound Deadener Showdown

Mind you, its a lot of work and takes patience. The results are nevertheless phenominal for an affordable sub-compact like our Fits.

It will be difficult to install MLV on the rear doors but CCF can be installed almost everywhere.

REad the link and if wind noise is irritating, this is your solution. Don't expect a sub-compact to be as quiet as a Lexus from the factory.

BTW, congrats on the new wheels. Your gonna love it - mods or no mods!!!!!

Did you have anything in the passenger seat? There's a sensor that will turn the airbag off on that side if something relatively light is in the seat - probably as a safety measure so the bag doesn't hurt a smaller child, etc.

If I have my 17" laptop computer bag on the passenger seat, my light will go on and off, as it's apparently right at the weight threshold.

Congrats on your new vehicle! I've had mine for about a month now, and I agree, it's very loud, but I expect that from an affordable subcompact with a large greenhouse. I was previously driving my boyfriend's 2dr Honda Civic ex? from 2007? It's quieter, of course, but I prefer the 2015 Fit :-D

Ok, nice to hear its not just my door not closing properly. Its not bad when im driving below 60 but once i hit the freeway and go above 60 it sounds like air is coming in the drivers door. I just turn the music up lol

turns out when they put in the remote start, they didnt connect something back on and it cause the airbag light to come on. Easy fix, i was in and out of the dealer!

Thank you guys for the replies!

I'm thinking about getting that remote starter on my wife's car! Something to be said for being able to turn on your car (and heat), without going outside in the cold @ 6:00a.m.

Yeah, I am thinking about getting one too. Since I opted for the LX, no heated seats... will be nice to have a remote starter for the Minnesota winter. My dealer recommended going for a 3rd party remote starter since they are much less than the Honda ones.... but I don't know which one to get.

I got spolied when i lived in Alaska with the remote start and i like the Honda Remote but, what i dont like is that once i start it and get ready, let it warm up a bit, then leave the house and as soon as i open the door it shuts off. I know this is a theft detterent but i wish it would be like my old Remote start on my Integra where it would shut off if the key was not in the ignition adn the brake was applied, and if the key was in the ignition it would just operate as normal.

Regardless I am happy wiht it! Oh and wndy the EX does not have the heated seat either LOL

But you can add the heated side mirrors to the EX if you wanted to for under $100 bucks and a few hours labor!
