Driver's Side Pillar Panel Gap?
Hey all,
I've come across a couple of threads saying the a-pillar panel (where the little window is) has a gap but I've noticed today while sitting in my car that there is gap where it meets the dash, but I don't know if this is the gap people are describing. Basically the panel doesn't seem to be flush with the rest of the dash area and it doesn't seem to "snap" into place even if I push it down.
Has anyone else experienced this same issue? Is there a quick fix or should I take this back to the dealer and see if the issue can be rectified there?
Thank you!

I'm one of those who has posted about the gap between the a-pillar and the dash, and the small trim piece by the little window being uneven.

Having said that, however, from the picture that you posted I do not have the same exact defect you have, but I think it is related since it involves the same trim piece that is uneven in mine.
I have spoken to my dealer about this, and they have told me that Honda is aware of the problem, and that it is possible that a bulletin may be released. They still seem to have the intention of trying to address it once they get more feedback from Honda - which I guess means waiting a few more weeks.
I would suggest you talk to your dealer. Even if only cosmetic, it definitely is a defect that they should know about, and, I'm willing to bet, you are not the only one who has it.

You're welcome. Please keep us updated about what your dealer says. I'm going to contact my dealer in a week or two if I don't hear back from them just to get an update.
Hello, since you asked me to let you know what happened, I'm updating you. Regarding the gap between the dash and A-pillar an the unevenness between the trim piece by the little window and dash (both of these on the driver's side), my dealer fixed it (after 2.5 months of ordering the piece). The piece they replaced was the trim piece next to the small window, and how they fixed the rest, I'm not sure, but it looks good to me. You can see pics via the following link. Three of the pics show the gap and unevenness and one shows the fix.
