Found and Fixed First Dash Rattle

My Fits is only a week old. One super-annoying dash rattle fixed. The culprit was actually the horizontal panel under the dash near the pedals.

There are four potential rattle points: Each of the four points where the panel mates with the car.

This peg rattles inside its hole. This is hockey tape, used to tighten-up the fit:

Look under the first column of fuses to see the interface:

Second potential source of rattle: The spin-latch. Adding hockey tape to tighten up the fit here as well:

Third rattle point: The snap. Once snapped, there's some slop that permits the panel to move vertically.

Another angle:

Here's the panel installed. I used five layers of hockey tape placed over the lip on either side of the snap:

This one is unlikely, but what the heck. This is the section nearest the gas-pedal:

Very tight now!

The easiest way to diagnose this rattle while driving is to lift your left foot and use your toes to hold pressure on the panel. If the rattle disappears, there you go!
