Those lights are part of the Fit's Eco Assist System

From the manual:

Ambient Meter
Changes color to reflect your driving style.
Green: Fuel efficient driving
Blue green: Moderate acceleration/deceleration
Blue: Aggressive acceleration/deceleration
The ambient meter color changes in accordance
with your brake or accelerator pedal operation.

Basically it just shows you how efficient you're being according to your acceleration/deceleration. I hope this helps!

Most questions can be answered by reading the factory manual. Manuals assume very little knowledge of vehicles and spoon feed you everything you need to know, including those heart-rate monitor lights that change color around the speedometer. Those who write owners manuals DO, however, assume you already know how to drive and that you are going to take the time to read. RTFM!!!!

Green also means "eco friendly"-that is, using less gas.

Depends on where. At a stop light, green means go, red means stop and yellow means go really fast to avoid seeing the red.
