LX trim have high beams?

Stupid question I know, but does this trim have high beams? I attempted to turn them on (pull back/push forward on the headlight stick) while I was driving, but the headlights just turn off. Am I missing something here?

just push

Just push the whole stick forward . You might have to push more firmly than your used to. I had to get used to the difference between my lx and my old car , a Chrysler.

Yep, I've been able to do that. I even get the indicator for high beams to come on the dash, but the headlights simply turn off and no high beams. If I push back and it locks into high beam mode, the headlights are steadily off (with the icon on the dash but no high beams). I just got it this weekend... guess I should take it into the dealer to see what's up?

Definitely take it to the dealer. Something is wrong.

Probably a bad switch or relay.

Or a blown fuse for some weird reason.

Took it to the dealer and turns out it was a blown fuse... very peculiar for a 4 day old car. I really hope this doesn't turn into a cascade of problems for a 'reliable' Honda...

Glad to hear it was just a fuse instead of a larger problem. Although you might have only bought it four days ago, it was probably built a few months ago and fuses are one of the many parts that wear out and will eventually need replacing.

If it makes you feel better, my dome light, low beams and accessory adapters did not work. Dealers often pull these fuses so as not to drain the battery when its sitting on the lot. In my case they simply forgot to put them back in. Drove back, told them, they apologized, and installed the fuses on the spot. All was good.
