Fit EX-L one of 10 best interiors

WardsAuto.com lists the EX-L as one of the ten best 2015 interiors, along with many more expensive cars. Way to go (although I love my EX's Jetsons seat pattern)!

Considering that the only interior difference in the -L model is leather trim on the seats, steering wheel, and shift knob this article speaks well of all the Fit trim levels.

OTOH, the pool of candidates was only vehicles in the classes that had substantial redesigns. Here's the list:

Acura ILX
Acura TLX
Alfa Romeo 4C
BMW i3
BMW i8
Cadillac Escalade
Chevrolet Colorado
Chevrolet Trax
Chrysler 300C
Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat
Dodge Charger
Ford Edge
Ford F-150
Ford Mustang
GMC Canyon
Honda CR-V
Honda Fit
Hyundai Sonata
Infiniti QX80
Jeep Renegade
Kia Sedona
Kia Sorento
Land Rover Discovery Sport
Lexus NX 300h
Lexus RC 350
Lincoln MKC Black Label
Lincoln MKZ Black Label
Lincoln Navigator
Mazda6
Mercedes C400
Mercedes CLS
Mercedes GLA
Mercedes S550 Coupe
Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
Nissan Murano
Ram ProMaster City van
Subaru Legacy
Subaru Outback
Subaru WRX
Toyota Camry
Toyota Sienna
VW Touareg

It appears the Fit was the only candidate in its class! Mighty tough not to win in a field of one!

Oh, I didn't read it that it was by class, but that they all equally competed.

The article doesn't state that they picked a winner for each class of vehicle, this is a nice award and a feather in Honda's cap.

It's pretty obvious from the results.

Otherwise the luxury barges would take home every prize.

Remember, the point of articles like this is to draw clicks. Putting the Fit in the winners draws clicks from anyone searching for "Fit."

So if the Mitsubishi Mirage were the only contender, it would have won?

The criteria isn't clear from the web site, but it does not read as though it is per class. You're right, though - the results have no overlap within any one class. Silly if true.

Anyway, IMHO I think it belongs on the list however it's decided!

I'd like them to have a "Best looking interior after 5 years of wear and tear" contest!

that would be far more useful than pretty pictures of new cars.
