Its fine if you don't mind the look, but the goal is to make the window look as if it is factory glass. To achieve that the tint goes right to the top of the window, follows the curve of the window, so you don't see any line, and likewise it goes below the felt so you don't see any line.

That is the way it should be done professionally.

There should be no part of the glass in a door that does not have tint on it visible to the eye whether the window is opened or closed.

 

SOLID! I just had mine done a week ago. SO in love with the way it looks. I had 18% done and the guy told me that all factory windows have some tint so it's more like 15%.
