2016 Prices

Yep. I was planning on buying but they also do not have Android Auto or Carplay. Their Chevy counterpart will have both and is thousands of dollars less. Honda in my opinion has become an antiquated car maker.

Too bad it's still a Chevrolet.

Honda will have better resale value and the technology is certainly not antiquated according to a multitude of professional reviews and comparisons out there. I think the Sonic was ranked #15 compared to the #1 Honda Fit on US News & World Report for example. IIHS crash rating is better for the Honda...especially the difficult (and too common real world) small offset rating. The Sonic is certainly a decent car overall and if the Android/iPhone connection is "it" for you. Enjoy.

The new Scion iM looks like it will be a better value, at least for the things I want in a car--MSRP is about $19,200 for the 6MT and $20,000 for the CVT, but the sales price should be at least $1000 below that (my local Scion dealer prices all of its cars $2000 below MSRP, but it might be different for new models). For that price you get heated power-folding mirrors, a 7-inch touchscreen audio system, leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone auto climate control, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, and more. And Scion even throws in the cargo cover for no extra cost! Imagine that.

I agree with you on the Golf. Traded my 2012 TDI for the new Fit. Consumer Reports, etc would agree that either choice is strong. Tricked out Golf will cost much more than a similarly equipped Fit though. There are some good choices out there my friend and I wish you well!

Statement shows that you are stuck in the past when GM built junk and Honda built quality cars. In today's market, GM is building some quality products, while Honda and Toyota are building vehicles with subpar quality by all objective measures.
Honda fired their CEO just recently and replaced him with a mid-level engineer in hopes of turning their quality decline around. Toyota is doing nothing, and just hoping owners don't notice. In all reality, they're the new GM from a quality and corporate culture standpoint.
Hopefully, Honda can turn things around. If GM can turn things around, so can Honda because they've at least acknowledged their quality decline.

Subpar quality by all objective measures? Really!? That's a strong statement. Can you support that statement with objective data? Sources such as JD Power, Consumer Reports, and U.S. News & World Report do not share your opinion on the Fit and Honda in general.
