for normal braking i use engine braking all the time cause the fits brakes are just weak especially with passengers onboard.

u can, with some practice, blip the throttle with the side of your right foot while gently pressing the brake pedal and get a smooth downshift.

only when i need to brake hard do i physically swing my heel around to blip.
