2016 Honda Fit Inventory (Honda Geek) NJ
That is a long wait for your colour. I know it won't make you feel any better, but here in Canada I'd be waiting a lifetime because Honda opted to not offer PBP here. We are sad. Daughter would love PBP.
That's a very low production color. We only received two of them for all of last year.
Well I guess at least they will make one here eventually. Did you find another color for your daughter? This will be my first car I can choose details on.
I actually saw my first PBP Fit EX today. It was parked on Main St., two towns over from me. The car has only been out for going on two years, and it's taken me this long to actually see one!
Nice! I don't mind being different. I first saw a fit in 2013, but I was just graduating college and wasn't ready to buy. I like the PBP color that's out now and I'm finally ready. And of course, I'll probably be waiting a while.
Manual transmission is hard to find in 2016
Our 2015 Aegean Blue Metallic Fit EX with 6 speed manual transmission was rear-ended and totaled 4 months after we bought it. (No injuries other than headache and generally stiff for a couple days!!) Trying to find a 2016 replacement has been interesting, no Fit EX's at all with manual transmission in stock in either Washington or Oregon. (We're in Washington.) A local dealer tracked down a MT equipped Aegean Blue Metallic EX in an adjacent state and we're covering the truck transport fee to get it here. Amazing to me that the CVT has taken over so much. Maybe we're just control freaks who have to pick our own gears, but I really don't like driving a CVT as much as a MT.
My '15 Blue EX Fit w/CVT was rear-ended last week by a F-150. I owned it for 10 months and had 8k miles on it. I am waiting on the GEICO estimator's assessment. I have a feeling it will be totaled. I can't imagine the car getting fixed to its condition prior to the accident.
I purchased mine for $18.6k OTD. I'm trying to anticipate how much this accident will cost me, considering there are no used '15 Fits in the same configuration and that the very few '16 Fits available are more expensive now.

You're not the only one. I do worry about something happening to my car then having to wait for God knows how many months to get a replacement.

If Honda IS phasing out the Fit, they won't be making any of that money from me. I have less than zero interest in anything else Honda is selling here at this time.
Did your insurance/at-fault insurance give you enough to buy a new '16 Fit?

Agreed! That is why I must be patient.
Welcome to the forums. As of right all EX-L in the region seem to be made in Mexico. I have not heard officially that this is going to be the case for the whole year, but I'll do a little more research today when I get into the store, since I was off yesterday.
Hang on just a little bit.
Are the '16 models going to have an overall lower number sent to the U.S.? My son is getting his driver's license and I am going to be giving him my '15 Fit in summer of '16 and planned on getting a '16 Fit for myself.
As an example, we cannot keep HRVs on the ground. They either sell by the next day or before they arrive. Fits, on the other hand, can stay for a few days or weeks.
