I'm asking because I took my Fit to the dealer to have the rear grab handles replaced due to recall. After getting the car back from the dealer, I noticed a buckle hanging from the ceiling on the right side in back just in front of the rear window. Now, maybe it's me, but I don't remember ever seeing a seat belt buckle (and retracted seat belt) in the rear ceiling of the car. Is it me, or did something funny happen while it was being repaired at the dealer? That seat belt (the one that goes across the body diagonally) would now have to stretch from the very rear of the inside of the car to the center of the backseat. I don't think so. Not sure what is going on here with that belt in it's current location. Please forgive me if it should happen to be in the right place after all. Perhaps I just never noticed it before.

 

If I understood you correctly, there is nothing to worry about, the seatbelt on the roof simply came loose - it was always there, you simply hadn't noticed it. If you go back there you'll see that there is a small hole where the latch goes, just put it in there and that should take care of it.

 

This is the seatbelt for the center seat. There is a tab in the roof that it plugs into if you don't want to use it.

 

Okay, put it in its' proper place. Funny, had the car since February of 2015 and I never noticed it. Someday, I'll get around to reading the manual. Thanks for the help.
