I cant get my seat right!

Hey guys, ive had my fit (2016 lx cvt) gor about 3 weeks and i really like it. There are a couple things i dont though, one is...

I cant fing a comfortable seat position, i drive from louisville to indianapolis to cincinnati a lot, its kind of my burmuda triangle. So i do 2 to 3 hour trips a couple times a week and near the end i always have brack aches. Does anyone else have the same problem. Im 5' 11" and weigh 180lbs and im 26 years old and have no medical issues with my back, so what the hell is going on? Also...

What is with this middle console? It sucks, does anyone have any suggestions for that?

Thanks for reading.

There are various threads on diy higher center consoles. I bought a unit of eBay that also has storage. Click on my signature thread to see it...

Sorry can't help you with the seating position, no problem for me.

Adding a padded center armrest and tilting the seat bottom back have done wonders for my comfort... Check my signature 'my mods' for pics and details. Good luck!

Have you tried leaning the seat back a couple of notches? I was having issues with my lower back as well, but as soon as I did that, I found more leg room and my back was much more comfortable.

*************************************** I got the same model about the same time, but have hardly driven it yet: bad weather and worse sinuses! Keep me posted about the seat setup: I'm 200 lbs, 6", and 82 years, and next time you're in Cincinnati.....

I agree about the seat. My first generation fit was pretty good, but my third gen seat just isn't all that comfortable. It's not dreadful, but I really miss my old fit. It was noisier and slower, but it "fit" me better.

The stock armrest isn't really an armrest, which is why they have a real center arm rest as a dealer option. At least they do in Japan. Don't they have this in the states?

I keep hearing about the seats being torture for many. Strangely, I've been very comfortable in them for long trips (33 yo, 6'4'' and 185 lbs).

However, I do agree that the center console is a little low, but with my long limbs, it's still not awkward to lean on it

Also agree about the armrest. I've ordered materials to make my own. I'm 6 feet tall and thought that would be the height limit for a fit owner. The seats are comfortable to me even on long trips but I'm amazed that at 6'4" you can fit in the fit.
