do you have LX or EX? that makes difference in stereo.
I have the LX. I know it only has 4 full range speakers and I believe that is part of the problem. I've never liked full range vs multi drivers. It sounds like a boom box. The midrange is muffled. It's not that bad, just not very good. I can live with that.

I think that the EX has tweeters in the front and just a tad more power output.

Perhaps modern Japanese. I had 2 Nissan 200 SX SE-R's and both had much more durable paint. My buddy had a 12 year old Sentra that had the original paint and was used throughout the harsh winters we have and the paint looked like a regular 3-4 year old car and absolutely no rust. The Toyota I had before the Fit also had a more durable paint job on it.

I'm really disappointed on how the paint looks after only one year.

Ugh, I can agree on all counts. I literally think the build quality and durability was better on my 2000 Chevy S10 pickup truck (or my 91 Civic SI). I had the S10 for 15 years with very little, to no issues. I even got 105K miles from the originally tires! And on the day that I sold that truck, the paint and body literally still looked brand new. I appreciate the fuel economy of my Fit, it has some pretty good pep for a tiny engine, and I like the steering and road feel. And the interior is HUGE for a car of its size. And I think the exterior and interior design is very sharp. But I've had so many issues with the car (minor and major), that it has left me disappointed in the Honda brand. I have 15 more months left on the lease. Initially I was going to purchase the car once the lease was up, but I will now not do that because I am worried about reliability in the long term. I am considering leasing a new Civic at that time, but only if Honda makes it worth my while. And from what I am hear, the new Civic is even having quality issues. Pooey.

Interested in learning about the "major" issues that you've been having - what they are, what the dealer's attempt was to address, etc.
Thanks.

Glove box rattles aren't major?

I wanted to buy a Fit but ran away when i heard of the new Mexico plant.

Just got a Japan built 2016 FIT and build quality seems perfect.

Heard that besides bad work, the Mexico plant suffered from theft of parts from assembled Fits.

Honda may learn from this. You get what you pay for.

Problem is, Only CVT Fits are coming from Japan, and I won't buy a CVT transmission. The few manual transmission Fits are still coming from Mexico as far as I can tell.

Honda may learn something from this, but given my experience, I definitely have. There's and old saying, "fool me once, shame on you- fool me twice, shame on me." Given the dealer's inability to correct the build issues and Honda's "don't care" attitude, it's looking like this will be my last Honda product.

Mine too, and it's a very early car.
