Has anyone switched out the headlights to LED not HID I keep reading about people installing HIDs and it causes there car to die when the light switch on in Auto. I loved my LED headlight running light on my WRX. the factory light just isn't doing it for me on my fit and i need to do something ASAP
Got an H4 Sirius LED conversion kit installed, but no projector housing. It would benefit more if it had them, but I'm not comfy melting the seal of the headlight housings to install it.
after you installed the LED headlights did you have any problem with the car stalling or turning of with the auto headlights?
Nope, the ballasts for the LED are far away from the ECM. The reason the car stalls is the because when the ballast strikes the HID for the first time it throws our a crap ton of RFI/EMI which forces the onboard ECM to reboot. No issue with this with LEDs. Poor quality HID ballasts have inadequate shielding unless you have a good ground to shunt that interference to the frame.
