My Fit - Ideal City Car

Although my vision is 20/20, my depth perception is poor. The ophthalmologist says this is a brain issue and not correctible. Probably arose from celiac that almost killed me as a baby.

So, no Interstate driving for me and very difficult to park, etc.

Needed a great city car. The Fit was my answer. Traded a 2013 Corolla and am happy as a pig in a garbage dump.

Wonderful. peppy engine and high quality interior compared to the Corolla.

Lots of leg and head room, but small outside size making parking much easier.

Even a great Honda dealer right down the block.

The only thing I wished for but could not get anywhere would be manual locks and roll up windows with a crank.

Good for you. What kind of mpg are you getting with your city driving? I wouldn't think you'd have too many traffic issues in Raleigh.

The only car I could find here in Canada was the Nissan Micra, entry model, in manual shift, for $9,999, no aircon or cruise, and cramped in the rear seat.

Unfortunately, that sort of thing is going the way of carbide headlamps and manual transmissions.

I mean, who would buy an autonomous driving car with manual door locks and hand crank windows?

Around 32.

Raleigh is congested in many areas now because of transplants from other areas.

Raleigh is nothing like Atlanta, the worst city in the South to fight traffic. Nashville is close with constant construction and the confluence of several interstate highways (24, 40, 65) plus their connectors.

And transplants ... ... I am a member of an endangered species, a native Nashvillian.

Bingo Bob! It is a city car first and foremost.

I smile every time I see it. Heck, I'm super grateful I was able to get a Fit with a manual transmission in Passion Berry Pearl. At the time people were on waiting lists to get a Fit. I read about the car on a Saturday, and I bought it on Sunday.
