Wow, I feel kinda violated, but happy with purchase. Got the 2017 Fit LX OTD: $18,600 includes tax, license, and reg. This Fit was the only one with a "J"VIN with everything made in Japan. The others were kind of a mixed bag of Engine made in Japan, Transmission made in Philippines, and final assembly Mexico.

Plus, since I was looking for the best gas mileage and didn't want to spend over 20K, I found the LX model had the "better" gas mileage compared to EX and EX-L. My commute is approximately 135miles one way every 2-3 days and my 1-ton pick up at 18mpg wasn't the answer.
CVT or manual? I just bought a 2017 "J" VIN CVT EX for $200 OTD more than you paid for an LX. And I talked them into throwing in another ~$200 worth of accessories.

Also, how can I tell where my transmission was made?

I got the CVT. See that? I really did get violated - at least they used lube.

The sticker will have the final assembly location, where engine was made, and where the transmission was made or get the build sheet. The sticker also showed estimated gas mileage and all the LX had better gas mileage than the EX, EX-L, and believe it or not, the MT. At the stealership/rapist I went to had a mix bag of Made in Mexico and Philippine made transmission. All the engines were made in Japan except for 2 made in Mexico. I don't think it makes a difference where it was made, it's still a Honda. The only Made in Mexico ones that I've heard had problems were the earlier ones.

Hmm. I didn't keep the sticker. Any way to look up the build sheet without contacting the stealership?

A little late to the game, but I found a dealership that was looking to move inventory and I got my 2017 CVT EX-L for $19,300. They had an extremely good deal for a 2017 LX Manual for $16,995, but the wife didnt want/can't drive a manual.

hello everyone! I just picked up my new 2017 LX 6MT yesterday! I'm super excited and am so happy to have this forum and community here!

Area: Portland, OR but got my 2017 in Bellevue, WA
Model: 2017 LX 6MT White Orchid Pearl
Dealer Listed Price: $16700
Out the door price: $15100
Fees/taxes: $100 doc fee (negotiated from $150); $35 dmv trip permit; no sales tax for Oregon residents

Accessories: they included pinstripes, door guard, wheel molding and the pulse system - all of this was included in the OTD price. They were all already on the car, would not have chosen to have them if I had to pay for it.
Financing: 0.9% for 60 months (Honda Financing promo)
Total price: $15235

Other: Only a handful of dealerships in the Pacific Northwest had 2017 LX manuals. McMinnville Honda had the most straightforward pricing, listing all of their 2017 LX Manuals for $15497 online (no accessories bullshit; just a $115 doc fee). They still have 5 or 6 in dark gray and white if people are interested. I was almost going to buy from them until I got an Internet offer (from clicking on their website to get e-pricing) from Bellevue that was $15100 for either a black or white one. None of our local Portland area dealers were able to match the Bellevue pricing, so we took our chance to visit some friends and get my new awesome Fit! I confirmed via text with the salesperson that there were not going to be any extra charges when I turned up at the dealership, and there weren't any real surprises. They of course tried to sell some window etching thing and extended warranty, but after reading these forums, I knew there were better places to get them if I wanted them.

Yay! I can be a real fitfreak now!

Yeah, now is a good time to buy a 2017 because the 2018s are rolling in. I wouldn't be surprised to see Honda itself throw in a discount to clear the old models out in the next month or two.
