Did my door locks short out?

Today after a heavy rain, my doors won't lock any more. The warning light on the dash is on...the car thinks a door is open but all doors are completely close. Anyone else ever have this issue? 2016 FIT EX.

Not so far. I got caught in a horrible downpour today, the worst I've driven in in many years. No such issue so far.

So the dealer said they need the car for a day to do a complete electrical diagnosis (crap). All started after it rained yesterday. The doors wouldn't lock because the car thinks a door is ajar (waring light is on). But here's the weird part: when I turn on the parking or headlights, the warning light goes out....turn them off and the warning light comes back on. Service rep said this was the first time he's seen this.

You said doors, did you include the hatch too? Just saying.

Each door has a little sensor-like switch that gets depressed when the door is closed, and springs back open when the door is open. You might find each sensor and give it a bunch of pushes in, which may dislodge dirt/other foreign particles.

Thanks, mate....but we tried that as well. Pretty sure something got short circuit during the rain.

Yes. That recall issue was taken care of.
