Annoying rare squeak/ping/rattle drivers foot/steering wheel area 2015 EX
this started happening about a year ago. It is pretty rare but terribly annoying. The sound is a ping or quick squeak/metallic sound. If you take the hood or gas Larry release and pull it back slightly and let it go it almost sounds like that. I put foam there to keep the latches from tuouching the plastic and thought I fixed it but didn't. It only happens when driving around 20-30mph and only on certain types of bumps. Mostly the type of bump that has a slight hump and then drop off. It doesn't even happen on the same bumps each time which makes it hard to track down. I got under the dashboard and zip tied and out foam everywhere I think could be causing the issue.
Has as anyone else experienced this?
the last time it happened (today twice) it sounded like it came from the lower steering wheel area. The high pitched sound is hard for me to pinpoint.
Thanks
Ray

i think I fixed it. The brake pedal is attached to the part that goes through the firewall with a pin. This pin has some thick grease on it to stop it from rattling I would guess. It wasn't enough. I put a bunch more on it and it hasn't made the noise in a week.
