I am wondering if there is a way to add this feature with a manual transmission model aftermarket. I still would like to also keep the feature of unlocking doors and trunk with key still in my pocket. Has anyone made this upgrade?

 

Yes, it can be done. Difference is you must exit the vehicle with the engine running and lock the doors. This is to insure the remote start module that the car is in neutral. From there you can arm the remote start like an alarm. If you open the door before engaging the remote start, you have to redo the procedure. I forget what units do this though.

i never liked remote starts since it overrides the security in your key fob
