Over the years I've had many air cooled VW's. Back when they were a dime a dozen. My first water cooled experience was a 1998 Audrey A4 V6 Quattro that my wife leased. A pretty nice car. After the lease was up she leased a 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro, OMG it was the worst car I have ever had before or since. That POS racked up almost as many miles on the tow truck as it did on the road. I kid you not.

Took me over 10 years before I'd consider anything made by VW or its other companies. That said I'm glad I bought my GTI. I love it & I'm happy.
