I personally, as an older (72) Person, like both analog and digital. I like larger digital in my car for my aging eyes, but I can go with either one. Some like it, some do not. It’s called human nature. Just like anything else we have different preferences.

A digital speedometer is easier to read. I use my Garmin GPS as my speed indicator in the Honda Fit. Even the stubborn German Porsche, thinking that the tachometer is most important gauge, puts it dead the center in the tech. How stubborn is Porsche? The ignition is still to the left of the steering wheel.

I just recently got a 2019 Honda Fit EX and would have loved to have a digital speedometer in it. A co-worker of mine had a Civic that had one and I was a bit jealous, since my 2013 Fit Sport didn't. Wish they would have included it in the higher-end Fit.

For the record, I can read analog speedometers just fine. I just think a digital one would have made the dash look a lot nicer.

A tachometer SHOULD be in the center.

It IS the most important gauge.

It is indeed IF you shift your own gears.
With CVT, not so much, since there are technically no gears at all.. so what is really the point?

Once I learned to drive a stick I don't think I ever looked at the tachometer. I shifted by sound and feel. With a CVT or AT it just seems to be taking up space. Would much prefer an accurate, digital gas gauge.

That's one thing on the 2019 Honda Fit EX (unsure if other models have it), is a digital gas gauge. I find it odd for that to be digital and the speedometer to be analog. How accurate it is, I don't know. Only just got this Fit on Monday.

The tachometer is so important to the 2019 Fit they made that guage digital. I am finding that I use the 2019 Fit's Blue and Green hue light around the outside of the speedometer more than the tachometer - it indicates when you are sucking gas or taking it easy.

Porsche don't have CVT.

A Porsche with a CVT belongs in the trash. No car that is even remotely intended to be enjoyed should have a CVT.
