VSA & EPS lights plus Check Charging System
VSA & EPS lights plus Check Charging System
So after waxing poetic about how reliable my car is for weeks it started giving me grief today. I jumped in it after work and after about 5 minutes I noticed the VSA (traction control) and EPS (power steering) lights were both lit up, and I also got “check charging system” flashing at me in the gauge cluster. I turned the car off for a few minutes and restarted it, both lights came back on. The car itself is running fine, no noticeable issues but those lights have me wondering if I’m about to dump a bunch of money into figuring out and subsequently fixing whatever caused these lights to come on. I’ve read that replacing either the fuel injector or the alternator fixes these issues, neither of which is covered under the extended warranty I got with the car. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance. The car has 152,000 ish kilometres on it and I just bought 2 new tires for it not even 3 days ago.
