Brake Pedal Flutter?

I've noticed recently that when I first start pressing my brake pedal that there is a slight shudder to it when the brakes first engage. I've never noticed it before, but it's only for the first 1/4 inch of travel or so and braking still seems to be solid enough.

Anyone else experience this at all? And should it be something I should bring it into the dealer for? It doesn't seem to be an urgent issue yet, but in the near future if it gets worse I'll make an appointment.

Has your Fit seen it's first winter yet?

If so, the rotors may be building up a bit of rust on the edges (from the road salt).

++++++++++++

If no winter yet, you MAY be experiencing some brake pad redeposit? The way to prevent that is to keep the car moving after a harder stop (at the end of a freeway exit ramp, for example). Just stop a car length or two back of the vehicle ahead of you, and creep...

It did go through last winter. And it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case, since they use the harsh slat brine stuff here.

Happen to me once. I had just gotten in my car and drove 2 blocks down and I hit the brake and the peddle was supper stiff. After I let off and reapplied brakes and it worked fine. I just assumed it happen because I had just turned my car on and there wasn't enough vacuum pressure in the booster yet.
