I wonder if there's any way that this would be compatible with the Fit's steering wheel controls for volume, phone, and siri. I guess it wouldn't work with the backup or lanewatch cameras though. Also, since this is a firmware update to Pioneer units that are already on the market, this gives me the slightest bit of hope that we could possibly see a Carplay update for our stock stereos in the future. Here's a demo from Pioneer on how this works in their units:

IM here!!!! i just picked up an AVH-4100NEX and im digging around to see if anyone has made both the backup camera and Lane watch camera work on this unit. the guys at Car Toys were saying that the cameras on hondas were 5 volt cameras so somehow there would have to be a relay tied in to make them work, anyone else have any answers?

I dont know when ill actually get to installing anything im kinda just stockpiling wires and speakers right but power will be run to the rear of the car soon. Bump for anyone else tackling this!!

 

Subscribing for updates. This means you're losing the MPG readouts, right? Also lane watch?

 

Well im gonna try my hardest to make backup camera and lane watch work, but don't forget you still have the MPG readouts via the odometer display!

 

ah - that's right. good luck, will be lurking. im already searching for speakers and a small sub to upgrade to. what's a couple hundred more for a nicer HU? haha.

 

Any update on this one? I know it's been a few months, but I would really like to figure out how to integrate the stock backup camera and lanewatch into a new HU - am hoping you have already solved the problem Chubbs...
