Fortunately there is a storage bin forward of the cup holders that is of decent size, not as recessed as the earlier cubby, but still separate from the cup holders.

The center storage console (between the seats) does have 12v power and USB connectors, so I am running a power cable from the 12V jack to my phone, keeping the storage space and cup holders beneath the dash clear for now.

I agree there seems to be some wasted space where the upper storage bin and cup holder used to be. For all the well thought out improvements on this car, that was one noticeable bug in the design.

But there are so many improvements over the prior model, I can deal with these minor nits.

Improvements like the moonroof:

Noted in 2nd photo, you can see a UFO thru the moon roof. Unidentified Fit Object....... OK, I'm going back to my room now.....

The Honda website doesn't even have the 2015 listed yet. Most dealers still have plenty of 2013s
Love the sunroof!
The two tires are the same as last year:
Bridgestone EL470
Dunlop SP7000

I like it all. I'm planning on a loaded Ex-L, myself. Thanks for the pictures. Maybe when you get a chance you can take some of the dash and center console to shed some light on the cup holder / storage mysteries.

Will get some more pics and info out on Sunday.

Horn? Haven't even tried it yet, go figure. It's on the Sunday drive list.

Moonroof does have option for tilt in addition to slide open. Short rides in both positions were comfortable and not overly noisy.

As I mentioned in another thread, the floor space in the cargo area is virtually the same as the prior model, given that my old cargo floor mat can fit the new model, while a very snug fit. I'll try to get more photos and descriptions of storage areas.

Another storage area missing (if you knew it existed in the prior model is the tilt out pocket beneath the rear seat bottom. You only see that storage area when you lift your bottom *g*.

Priced $19,025 on the sticker = CVT. Beside, no MT will be available until a later date.

Would you mind terribly doing a video pointing out the interior features like cubbies or things you find very useful or interesting? Or just pictures if you prefer. The initial video reviews are mostly about how it drives or the magic seats.

Hi Brian. Are the front seats comfortable? Do they have the lumbar bulge that the earlier fits included?

Very "Meep" sound. Higher pitch that the prior model, IIRC. Needs to grow some testicles (the horn), so I expect there will be an aftermarket version offered that could be quite popular.

Very nice! What brand & model tires on are on the 2015?
Bridgestone Turanza EL 470

Between driving trips today, so thought I would post a bit more for you folks. Did a 90 mile trip on I-5 between Oceanside and Chula Vista (cities north and south of San Diego). Kept the speed pretty constant at 70 mph using cruise control, and the Eco setting. About 75-80 degrees F, so ran the A/C, with windows and moonroof closed. Here was the data readout:

42.1 average MPG on the display. Started with full tank and refilled at the end. Only 2.169 gallons so may be some error margin due to the small amount of fuel, but use same pump, same station, and tried to repeat the fill process. Actual MPG was 42.7. So the display seems to be pretty accurate. Another page on the display shows 400 miles range on a full fillup. Not sure if this updates over time and use of the car.

Photos below of the console area with the cup holders and storage area (with standard 7-11 Super Big Gulp cup for these cup holders), and drink holders in the doors (used 20 oz water bottles, the very large drink cup does not fit). Driver cup holder on dash can hold the huge 7-11 cup with no problem.

Also photos of other storage areas, using items for scale such as eyeglass case and water bottle: console between the seats, glovebox, door cutouts (next to water bottle space), and pocket behind passenger seat.

Also the cargo area, with cargo liner from the 2009 model, deck area (feels like fiberboard under the fabric), tool tray beneath the deck (blown, shaped and painted poly foam), and the spare tire well.

Thanks for the update--we'll see soon if the older Accord horn swap still works.

The foam insert around the spare tire well looks like they are really trying to address the sound issues in the old Fit.

I have to say that this car is very comfortable and pretty quiet at freeway speeds. Once it is established at speed, you really hear very little of the engine. When you hear the engine is when you change speed, particularly accelerate, with that changing pitch that must be characteristic of the CVT system.

Again, with the few days I've owned it, I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
