Honda approved the paint repair covered under warranty, so dropping it off next week. They said 3-4 days but no car rental like they did when I had the Odyssey repaired.
Over the weekend, I learned I can transport a 14' trampoline in the fit. My buddy gave me one after his kids outgrew it. So about an hour to break it down to manageable pieces and another hour to reassemble it at my place. The poles for the netting were the longest pieces and I just lowered the front seat as much as possible and it was no problem.
Of course after the warranty extension expired and I had already got the spoiler repaired, another spot of paint is chipping off. This is going to be the last white car I own...
Spoke to progressive and from the pictures and videos they've seen, her first instinct is that it's going to be a total loss. Not official yet but I'm hoping this process moves along so I can get a rental. Fortunately I'm able to WFH. I'm looking at a Ridgeline or maybe a Maverick
I briefly thought about a Ridgeline too. My rental was their smallest vehicle. A Charger GT. Lol. After driving that, I knew that I wasn't going into small car again. Good luck in your search.

Insurance has taken liability for their driver hitting my car and I'm in a Malibu rental. Crap rear visibility and I can see why they discontinued it. Still waiting on them to make the determination if it'll be totaled. When I went to get the paperwork signed at the body shop though, they thought it would be totaled.
So what vehicle did you finally settle on?
When I bought the Fit,I needed something with good mileage as I had a long commute, roughly 20k a year. Now I WFH 2x a week, and my commute is half what it was. The last few years I've been doing about 5k miles annually on the Fit. Since mpg is no longer a concern, a truck for home projects would be nice. I thought a Maverick because of the hybrid option, but the Ridgeline is better at everything except for mpg.
In 10 years of Fit ownership, 114k miles:
Average MPG 40.558
Average Fuel Cost $18.35
Average Per Gallon $2.264
Total spent $6,368.41
I have seen some paint defects at the back of the roof where the hood meets the rear window of this generation, but mine has been flawless, plus its not a tinny roof like my GK.
When I tried white CF vinyl, it wasn't to my liking, so I took it off. It took a big chunk of paint off the roof. Thankfully I was soon going with the same black CF vinyl wrap that used on my Gk for about 8 seasons to cover up that self inflicted blemish. Lol
