Progressive has officially totaled the car. They're offering $10,190.65 for the car. Considering I spent about 20k otd on the vehicle 10 years ago, 50% of the value isn't bad.
I had looked on auto trader and 10-11k is the going rate in my area, and those weren't the white with paint flaking off on all doors, the key fob light has been coming on the last year and I'm glad I postponed doing the coolant flush. It sucks the brakes just got done in May this year but life isn't perfect.
The Total Loss isn't really a surprise, but still, it's sad.
I got $24,000 CDN for mine. Very close to the paid price of around $28k. The repair cost would have been at least $15k! When I looked, it was slight above the going rate of similar ones, but mine was better taken care of.
It's too bad we can't go after the idiots that caused the accident.
Mine was still drivable.

I think the frame in mine was twisted in the crash. When I went to collect my belongings before turning over to insurance the front passenger door wouldn't close properly. The rear driver door was jammed up as expected as the hit was on that side.
Also as you can see the white paint kept getting worse and worse. It was on all 4 doors at that point.
Thanks so far I'm loving it. The heated steering wheel is going to be a great feature in the winter. After my wife felt it, she's already eyeing a replacement Odyssey in a few years and she said it must come with that lol
I'll probably be selling some of the things I pulled off my fit from the wrecking yard, once things settle down.
man i just got my 2015 honda fit and i found your forum and started reading it from youre first post to now, what a crazy story,, from the fir to a slight bumper crash to a year later to it being gone. RIP to the fit brotha man
