nice! Hope you will enjoy it. I've been loving mine so far. Where did you get the WeatherTech mats? I've been looking around for the best place to buy them.
Im liking it so far. Not crazy about the rear seat recline positions. Seems like one detent Im to far forward and I go back a detent and Im too far back.
I bought my Weathertechs from a local place called Butchs Hubcaps. They were $99 for the fronts and $69 for the rear.
Got the new OEM window visors installed. My old man is a certified honda tech so we put them on at the garage the other day. Sure made it easy with two people.
Got a set of Rally Armor Basic flaps installed yesterday. They are 2" from the body at the top and 3.5" off the ground front and rear.
I used the 3 stock mudflap holes to mount the fronts. The rears I used 2 stock holes and had to make an aluminum bracket to get a third mounting point on both the rears.
I just used a transparent flexible cutting board from the dollar tree to make the pattern for the flaps.
I also used the stock metal mounting clips that the dealer used to mount the stock mudflaps. I had to cut the ends off of the metal clips, cut a notch in the inner plastic liner. That way I could flip the clips around so they wouldn't interfere with the bumper. Unfortunately those clips the dealer installs the oem flaps with dig into the paint on the bumper so I'll have to touch up those areas.
All in all it took me a few hours to put these on. If I didn't have to fabricate brackets for the rear flaps it would've been less than half that.
I may end up moving them in 1" in the future but I haven't made up my mind yet.
Congrats on the new ride. I'm in the market for a 2017 6MT EX as well. How'd you get the price? Who was the dealer if you don't mind me asking? I'm in the northeast as well (NYC)
I dont know if it was because it was the end of the year or not but I just sent price request quotes to about 4 local dealers. The best price I got initially was $18100. So i started piting the dealers against one another so the price started coming down. I ended up getting the Fit at the dealer that my father works at. They had one 6MT and they matched the price of the dealer that gave me the $17050 price.
I think the end of the year = Happy Honda Days but from what I saw it was mostly lease and financing incentives (e.g. low APRs). $17050 still seems insanely low. Is that including all their "doc fees" and the $875 freight charges? I was trying your method the last couple of days and didn't get very far. The NYC tristate area dealers are usually the highest in the northeast. Did you have college or military incentives?
