Introducing the all-new 2017 Wanako-mobile in proud partnership with Honda! lol. My 2017 Honda Fit EX with CVT in Modern Steel Metallic.
Ok so, when I was young and very stupid, so around 2004-ish, I swore off Hondas because only ricers drove them. Then I grew up. Around 2006 I test drove a GD3 and loved it, but I was in college and too poor to afford one. Then 2016 comes and getting ready for a small family, I was looking around for a car to replace our Versa, and my wife mentioned the Fit as a candidate. I had completely forgotten about it, and so we went with that. I regret nothing.
I’ve had this one since November, and was totally excited about it. Then, literally 15 minutes out of the Honda dealership, and in the parking lot of another dealership where I was going to sell my old Versa, some old man backed into me, and screwed up my passenger side. I’ll tell you, my rage was too great. Found an excellent shop to fix it with all brand-new parts from Japan and now she’s back to brand new!
Now that I have her back home, it gave me an excuse to dust off my ancient Canon 30D and take some pics!
I might be doing some mods to this one, so let’s see if the money holds out. lol.
OEM Cargo Tray
OEM Leather Shift Knob
Leather Wrap Steering Wheel
LED Interior Lights
RS Front and Rear badges
Lowering Springs (haven't decided but something that's not too low and too harsh)
Mugen Style Front Lip and Side Skirts
Nice Exhaust (not too loud but better sounding than stock)
Get rid of the chrome trim!! (i kinda hate chrome)
I'll keep this post updated. Helps me remember what I want to do too.
Looks good man. Can't even tell it's been in a bender.
Thanks! Yeah I was so happy with the work they did. Really top notch.

Believe me, I scoured your thread and several others while the car was in the shop.
Unfortunately, not too many in-depth modding threads such as yours around. I figured there would be many more considering its a Honda, but apparently not. GD's and GE's seem to have much more support though.
So earlier in the week, my new 3D MAXpider floormats came in! Cost me about $115 for the whole set on Amazon. I like these much better than the OEM carpet mats. They're not as flashy as the WeatherTech or Husky mats, and have a more subdued appearance. I like it better that way, personally. Fits in better with the interior. I felt the fit was excellent and covered the whole floor. One thing I did like was that the rear mat covered even under the rear seat. The WeatherTech does that as well, but the Husky one does not, at least from the pics I saw. Grip was great and my feet were not sliding around, even after coming from a rainy day.
One thing I will say for those that plan on getting these, is to be careful when installing. The fibers at the bottom of the mat that grip to the floorboard of the car can be sharp and get stuck in your fingers if you grip it too hard. Had to pull some fibers out of my skin afterwards. No bleeding or pain or anything, but kinda felt like splinters.
Other than that, I'm quite happy with this purchase and I will see how it goes.
I'll be putting up my OEM floor mats for sale soon for those that may be interested.
Thanks for the info on the mats! Really like the way they look. Just added a set to my cart. We got our MSM about 2 weeks ago, love the color. Had the dealer tint the windows, adds a lot to the looks.
Bought a dashcam. First time i've ever owned one. With goddamn everyone being distracted while driving these days, I figured it was better to protect myself as much as I could. Last week I bought a Viofo A119S dashcam. I heard good things about it and wasn't too bad in price, so i gave it a try. Got it earlier this week and installed today. I routed the cable through the headliner to the A-pillar down to the dashboard, across to the center console and back to the Power Outlet inside the armrest storage.
I do like how discreet it is. Setup was easy and doesn't block any visibility on my windshield.
